After graduating from Universidad de Barcelona with a degree in Art History, she started experimenting with different weaving techniques. In the high heddle loom she found her means of expression. Her tapestries are inspired in nature, contemporary art and the people around her. Her entire creative process is handcrafted and personal. In her design, simple shapes and minimalist compositions stand out, leaving space for the fabric to provide texture. Selected natural, recycled and recovered fibers put together a freedom-seeking colour palette. She is available for commissons and collaborations upon request. Inés Prat es una artista textil que trabaja en Barcelona. Estudió Historia del Arte en la Universidad de Barcelona y desde hace años experimenta con diferentes tipos de telares manuales. En el telar de alto lizo ha encontrado el medio donde expresarse. Sus tapices están inspirados en la naturaleza, el arte contemporáneo y la gente que le rodea. Todo su proceso creativo es artesanal y personal. En la concepción del diseño destacan formas simples y composiciones minimalistas dejando espacio al tejido para aportar textura. Seleccionando fibras naturales, recicladas o recuperadas. Inés a su vez también acepta trabajos por encargo, así como proyectos colaborativos.
